.177 Marauder Fill 3000 psi First shot,875.8fps. Last shot, 893.2 fps. Total shots 40 (sweet spot) between 2800 psi,and 2400 psi. (28 shots) Ending pressure 2200 psi. The peak of the shot curve is at shot # 23=915.9 fps. Over the 40 shot string, the Low Velocity is 875.8 fps. The High Velocity is 915.9 fps the Average Velocity is 895.9 fps. the Extreem Spread is 17.2 fps. and the Standard Devation is 5.6 fps.

What are your adjustments set at?

I just got started in air guns last year. I've fished and hunted all my life. (up till now) I have a skin condition that turns to cancer (melanoma) if I stay in the sun too long. I've had to give up everything else, but I can sit in the shade and shoot my air rifles. I have "10" of them at this time, and two of them are Marauders, one in .177, and one in .22. I have a set up on my patio and keep the starlings and sparrows thinned out. I do hand loading for my long guns, and have been doing my own work for over 40 years now. I am retired, 71, and still going strong. I get my air fill at a Scuba shop, which is another thing that I had to give up.

There's my setup:

1. Benjamin Marauder
2. Caliber 0.177
3. Fill Pressure 3100 psi, regulated (Altaros) to 1450 psi
4. 130 shots on 12.6 FT. Lbs. (tested with H&N FTT) , have to readjust to 12, expect a couple more shots
5. Ending pressure in the gun is about 1400-1450psi

It now shots H&N Field Target Trophy 8.64gr @ 810fps, JSB Exact 8.44gr @ 817fps and H&N Baracuda 10.65gr @ 735fps!
With Baracudas I have the best results, ES is <6fps and SD is <2 fps on 20 shots shot string (Combro MK 4 chrony, it's a lot of work for the full string)...

As I said, the gun have Altaros regulator set @ 1450psi, my settings are about 4/3 turn from full CCW for hammer spring tension, velocity screw full open >4.5 from full CW and Hammer stroke about 14 1/4 - 14 1/2 turns from full CCW, these are settings for about 12 Ft. Lb. and high efficiency, I realized that short stroke mean less wasted air, sound was funny/ridiculous but the chrony don't lie...

Now I wait for the same regulator for my 0.22 Mrod which have all mods as 0.177, my plan is to regulate it at about 1800psi and get a lot of 24-25 Ft. Lb. Shots with the H&N Baracuda's...

My Marauder .22 gets a full 3,000 psi. fill every time, and it will shoot down to 2,000 psi. before refill. I'm using JSB 18.13 gr. pellets. My .177, with JSB 10.34gr pellets, gets 2,800 psi fill, and shoots down to a little below 2,000 psi. My accuracy is very good with both guns, and I'm getting 20 to 25 good shots. Remember to always aim high. That way you'll never shoot your foot off.
