Moisture absorbant for air cylinder

I was wondering if it is possible to unscrew the valve on the air reservoir and insert a silica gel pack to help absorb moisture and prevent rust. Is this logical, or would this cause damage to my Marauder? I got this suggestion from a reply to one of my posts, and I have been considering this for awhile. I do not want to do any damage to my gun, so please reply back with any thoughts.
