Cant beat that. I like mine OK but I dont use it above 15x. Its light and functions perfectly for how I use it. RayK is a big fan.

542 grams with rings - no sunshade . 19.1 oz.

Yes. That is what I suspected. I think that simmons's spec is 12 oz, which could be an error.

Take off 60 grams for rings 17 oz +/- 17-12= 5 oz. discrepancy. Maybe Simmons scale is wrong, or mine.
Still beats my Leapers 6x24 @ 848 grams.

Never weighed it but much lighter than my Hawk Sidewinder.

Just take my Simmons 44Mag 6-21 mildot off. It is 15.5 oz without any mount, no sunshade, no lens caps. The sunshade is 1.9 oz. it is not as light as the published spec, of 12oz, but still pretty light.

Bushnell bought Simmons. I wonder if they changed their manufacturing or material they use.

It will be a bummer if they are getting heavy. That is one of the main reasons I like it for the otherwise heavy Marauder rifles.

I am not sure when Bushnell bought Simmons, but my 44Mag was purchased around March 2011. My Main goal was reduce the overall weight of mRod .25. I eventually modified the stock to drop another 1.5 lb. I now have a smaller UTG BugBuster scope 3-9 (mostly for shorter focus distance) on light weight low mount
