Questions on a compressor

Came across a compressor that is filling scuba tanks to 3200psi but with a different regulator the owner says it will fill to almost 4800psi. its 8 years old with light usage, maybe 50-70hrs. starts first or second pull.

Can anyone please tell me:

1. Are these compressors any good? Or how does it compare to others?
2. What will it take to get a different regulator? and anything else i might need?
3. How much is it worth?

How much does he want for it? I'm thinking $2,000 would be a very fair price.

If you do get it, the regulator should be adjustable to allow it to go to higher PSI ratings, but you get 2X more wear of parts at higher pressures.

Less than that... The reg on it he said is maxed at 3200psi and a new reg on eBay that goes up to 4500 or 6000psi would needed for higher fills. Cost 250-300. I don't need it but if I can talk him down it would be a sweet deal but it not a name brand that has much of a rep in the states. I can't find much about it and it's 8 years old.

I bought a used Nuvair MCH/6 compressor that I had to get a higher pressure regulator for. Like yours mine maxed out at 3200psi and I need 4500psi. I ordered it through Nuvair for $85.
