And I said 44cf right? He said "cubic feet?"Never seen one.Only one scuba place 40 miles away will fill it for 25 bucks. So I baught an alum 80 Fills for $6 so Im stuck with that. For my new .25 5-8 days on the fill adapter From amazon and I'll finnaly be shooting!

Hey Heli, How'd you make out with your new HPA set up? The aluminum 80CF, is that a max fill of 3000psi? Steve

Hi Steve, for my 80 tank, the scuba shop filled it to 3300 psi, but they noted that they do that because once it cools down, the result is 3000 psi... I guess that sort of makes sense.

I filled from 3100 psi, the guage on the gun said 2800. I am pretty sure I am going to need a hand pump for topping off. I am not going to like short fills and I dont want to go to the scuba shop every week!

Heli, The 300 psi discrepancy is fairly normal for the stock gauge, as was the case in mine too (and others I've seen in person) before changing it for a different brand. As you can see this is one of the major advantages of the 4.5 SCBA cylinder, too bad they couldn't fill those at your local PB shop. Usually they can. Cheers. Steve

Hi Heli,

If you are stuck with aluminum 80CF (3000 psi)

If you are going to be shooting from one spot like a bench with a front mounted bipod.

You could invest $20 in a Ninja fill whip I think it is 30"

Ninja Fill Whip

You can then use it to extend your fill adaptor. When the pressure in the scuba tank is down to your marauders fill pressure just leave the hose teathered with the valve cracked.

You will be able to shoot all afternoon ;)

Somthing to think about

This time of year take your tank outside and leave it overnight before taking it in to refill, the colder temp. will offset the temp. caused by filling so when you bring it inside it will stay at 3300 or higher. :) :) :) good luck
