Many people often ask how many times can I refill my gun if I buy a certain tank?
This is a work in progress and I will update it from time to time.
The following fill calculations was made using the AirHog.com fill calculator
I don't think it takes into consideration air loss via the fill hose between fills when you bleed the line.
Also I haven't verified the Marauders Air reservoir size, so I used 210 cc since a user posted it on the forum.
Marauder 210cc
2500 psi - 2000 psi (charge the gun to 2500 and shoot it until it gets down to 2000 psi then refill it back up to 2500)
Scuba tanks need a visual inspection every year about $15.00 and a Hydro test every 5 years. If you don't have this no one will fill your tank. Dive shops charge from $4.00 to $10.00 per tank fill.

Scott Air-Pak type of SCBA tanks
Most are carbon fiber, which makes them light and easy to pack around. Most also have pressure gauges built into the tank so you know how much air you have in the tank. These are the breathing air tanks fire departments use. You may be able to get them to fill them for you, but don't count on it.
Carbon fiber tanks have a maximum service life of 15 years then they are trash, no one will fill them.
They need to be hydro tested every 5 years. a hydro test cost $22.50
Fiberglass tanks have a 15-year life span and must be hydro tested every 4 years.
Aluminum carbon wrapped tanks exist and I have one, but I don't know what the lifespan or restrictions are. I will let you know.
My local Sports Chalet stores stopped refilling them for me , so now I need to look at HP steel tanks. I found a place in Sacramento that will refill them for $18.00 (that is $13.00 more than I wanted to pay)

So with all this research what will do?
I am going to use the tanks I have for now:
(2) 16.8CF @3000 psi scba pony tanks
(2) 44CF @4500psi scba tanks
(1) 66CF @4500 psi scba tank
then I think I will sell off the 44CF tanks and put the money back into a 120 or 149CF HP steel tank this way I can increase my odds of being able to get at least one tank filled where ever my shooting adventures take me.
P.S if anyone who sells portable 5000 psi gas compressors would like to sponsor this forum or work out a trade please contact me. A compressor would solve all my problems, and make my shooting friends and me very happy.
