Not to make anyone jealous or anything like that but, being a volunteer firefighter has it's HUGE advantages for us PCP-er's.
I have access to "They are all linked together with a maze of hoses and gauges..." (Pete, it's a cascade system) that is attached to a 5000 psi compressor.
I take my 4500 psi Benji 90 cu in bottle ever Wednesday (weekly meeting/training) and top it off. Fire Hall is three miles from the house; if I use it up the 90 cu in bottle doing CHRONY work and/or plinking over the weekend.
Have access to old SCOTT 3000 psi SCBA, which I might get AIR VENTURI SCBA fill hose and inline pressure gauge in the near future.

Getting JEALOUS YET?

Ray,
As a "NUBE" in January, I had a hard time getting myself untangled with method of fill and fittings and bottles and pumps, all the while the answers were right below my nose.
Thanks to you and 35000+ post, 5000+ topics and 6800+ members on this forum has made me a "Demon possessed" (THE WIFE  ) PCP-er that can now make a few contributions to our "CAUSE".
Still more to learn.

Very happy with my access to unlimited air supply. :D

I really can't complain either. I have too very close buddys who have $3000 compressors who will fill my tanks for free.
But the closest one is 80 miles away! The other is 120 miles away! Fortunately, I enjoy visiting them anyway, so it is worth the drive.

I can always drive 10 minutes to SportChalet and get my Scuba tank filled. They have even filled it for free a few times because it is "almost full" (at 2500 psi) when I take it in.

 Josh, that's too funny that you fill-source was right there.

I'm jealous that your investment was less, but my Shoebox/Guppy combo exceeds my current and future needs. :) I love having it all in the garage. About time to do the quarterly (yes 4 per year) top-off of my tank. I haven't done a whole lot of target shooting lately. Just sighting in, testing pellets and shooting squirrels. Doing it all on only a Prod helps. ;)
Prod (tuned by Paul B., LW barrel, RB grips, ACE Folding stock, camo, TKO & JG brakes)
Sold: .22 Mrod "The Toad" (tuned by Paul B., 18" LW barrel, Toad-A-Flage camo)
Sold: .25 TT Mrod w/ reservoir and shroud extensions

Dry gas is the way to go.
99% of the time it's the shooter, not the gun.

NeuRon, you are one of the few who really could have been very happy with a good (Hill) hand pump.

Ok, I now have the ultimate filling station. Recently viewed some state surplus stuff to be auctioned off and saw a Haskel filing station pump as used on fire trucks to fill there scba tanks. Tag said used in working order but past its service life, no bidders but me 50$. Runs off of compressed air at 180-220 psi and puts out 5000 psi, seems to be working with my temporary hook up. Pete.

You're all set now!

With all that air, maybe you should consider a big bore airgun like the 308 or 257. Or maybe you could make a one mag 25 Marauder that shoots 100 FPE.

Very cool!
