Listing name and part number so if someone has a similar problem, hopefully it will show up easier while doing a search.
On Friday, the fill tank slipped off the table while it was tethered to my M-Rod. This is what resulted (pic).
Yep, snapped off the Adapter Nipple. Don't have a spare one. Have to wait and order one from Crosman on Monday. 7-10 day wait
Looked around for a similar part. Found a Foster fitting.
The original part has a shoulder that the O-Ring seats against. (pic)
Got a piece of 1/4" O.D. copper tubing. The plunger slipped inside the tube fine, however the O.D. was a little too large. Put the copper "bushing" in a drill and spun it against a file to reduce the O.D. (pic)
Then cut with a tubing cutter to the proper length.
Fits nicely (pic)
Time to solder in place. (silver solder)
Then, to form the shoulder (for the O-Ring to seat against), drilled out about 1/8" deep with a 9/32" drill bit. (pic)
Ok, ready to try out.
Install (used the black thread sealant from the old part)
Pressure up.
Holding pressure.
Down for just a little while, not 7-10 days.
On Monday, ordered 2 new spares. ( #1761-106 Adapter Nipple price $6.17 ) Crosman 1-800-724-7486
