Up to 3500 psi?

Postby sacshooter on Sun Jan 18, 2009 3:41 pm

In Jim Chapmins shot show writeup, he said
Like the Disco, the Marauder has been optimized to work at a lower (2000psi) fill pressure, it can also be adjusted for optimal performance at higher fill pressures (up to 3500 psi)

It will be interesting to learn more about this.

I think one of the attractions of the Marauder is the 2,000 psi fill. That's really a big plus for those of us that use a hand pump for filling. I know I'd prefer to pump to 2K than to 3K. I'm sure that if the fill pressure goes too high, you'll need a stronger hammer spring or need to space the stock spring to give it enough power to knock the valve open.

I have tanks. I have two small 17.9CF tanks I can easily carry. I can use them to re-fill my Talon SS tank 3 times. I used the airhog fill calculator to figure out how many times my small tanks would fill my friends 135 cc Discovery, it said 15 times!

I know the Marauder will have a larger tank than the discovery. But even if it is 300 cc I bet I could refill it 6 times. That would make a big difference to me, if I go out in the field to plink.
