Pro Chrono Digital Review

Postby steveinla on Thu Sep 30, 2010 9:07 pm

Hi Guys, I got my new Pro Chrono by Competition Electronics last week. Here is a link to, you guessed it, the TAG forum where I posted my experiences with it. Yes, I really like it...you'll see why:

p.s. ShootingChrony Inc. is a terrible company to deal with. Buy a Pro Chrono by Competition Electronics...they're made in the U.S.A.

Hi Steve.

I just bought one too. Midway had them on sale for $90, so I pulled the trigger on one.
It looks great, but I won't get to try it until the weekend at the earliest.

It looks like Midway has them on sale for $96 through 1-31-11. This is good price on a great chronograph. I'm really happy with mine. :D

As a follow up, I did buy the Pro Chrony Digital chronograph.

I love mine too. I also tried my buddys crappy Shooting Chrony and decided to research it before buying. I put the ProChrony in my wish list at Midway, then it went on sale. Lots of other guys who submitted reviews on-line are happy with the ProChrony too. They work well for shotgun too, but I have only used mine on my pellet guns.

I also bought a Pro Chrono Digital and used it last weekend. Works great. It was a sunny, cloudless day so I used the plastic diffusers and it read all the shots, over 150 pellets. Much easier to operate and not as fussy as the Beta Chrony. The mannual is easy to read. The Beta was very confusing and had many error messages.

I don't love mine. Just purchased one from Midway, it won't register velocities. The display shows 0, if I wave my hand over the front sensor it shows ERR, wave my hand over the rear sensor it shows 0. Got a defective unit.

Midway is out of stock until Feb 16, so looks like the end of the month before I get any love.
