How long can you keep the Marauder full of air?

Postby jimbo » Tue Aug 13, 2013 7:11 am

Recently new owner of the M-rod (.22). My question is, how long can/should you keep high pressure in your marauder if not using it for a length of time? Will the seals get damaged?
Thanks,
Jim

I've always heard it is better for the seals to keep air in such a device. And it makes sense since seals do take a set. If they are kept where they belong to seal, that is a better place to set.

The seals are easy to replace. There are four important ones inside the air tube - all the same size - and you can get them at most hardware stores. All you need is some silicone grease to apply to the o-rings before you re-install. It helps keep them from drying out and it helps lube them for easy install (slide down the air tube.
