Hey guys, noob question, but what's the difference between the gen 1 and gen 2 mrods? What's the easiest way to tell difference? Gen 2 synthetic stock only?

Basically, Gen 2 has the adjustable comb, wood and synthetic. There are other "improvements".

The comb is that blackish thing on the top of the butt of the gun stock that is adjustable on the Gen II Marauders. Your cheek rests on it when you are shooting the gun. Adjustability allows you to set it so when you put your cheek firmly against it, your eye is in the right place to see down your scope consistently for each shot.

Anybody know if theres a difference in the valves?? My valve stem om my gen 2 was broken. And i replaced the whole valve for another cause a new valve stem would take 6 week for delivery... I noticed the new valve i received was a gen 1... It didnt fit properly but after 2 drillings it would fit and now my marauder shoots again. The guy who replaced not really noticed differences...

If you have gen 2 valve my logical thought is that it must be better then the first generation. The guy who replaced it didnt notice any really improvements on the new valve? still im asking myself why would they change the valve if there aint really improvements? I want to make sure i not downgraded my gun by replacing the gen 2 valve for a gen 1... Can anybody tell me if i downgraded or if there s really no improvements in the new gen 2 valve?

it seems a few of us are getting lower velocities with the Gen 2 's ,not everyone I guess but a few of us,....it seems the Gen 1's are getting higher velocities and can adjust up more,at least that's what it looks like to me reading all the info and noting what my new gun has been doing-johnw.

Valve in gen 2 Marauder has a stronger return spring on valve stem, which further implies that is normal to achieve the lower speed! ;)

The body of all Gen II valves changed to accommodate the new trigger pack screw location. The Gen II valve bodies have been slotted such that they can be used in Gen I and Gen II guns. Gen I valves would need the screw relief drilled to fit Gen II, as mentioned above.

On 25 cal Gen II valves, the return spring is stronger than Gen I. This will lower the over all peak power compared to Gen I 25 cal gun. The advantage of the stiffer spring, is a lower Es with a typical 16 shot string w/3K fill. I prefer the lower Es, but you can just swap in a 177/22 valve spring, if you wanted the higher peak power.

I would have to check all schematics to be 100%, but believe the poppet is the same in both Gens and all calibers. Also in Prod, 1720T, 1701P, valves.
