.25 rifle hard to cock compared to .22 pistol

Postby lco » Sat Mar 21, 2015 3:21 pm

I just received my Marauder .25cal rifle and it is hard to cock compared to my Marauder .22cal pistol. The pistol cocks much smoother. Is this typical or should they feel about the same?

A bit more spring than the PRod.
Too, after 5000 shots, you won't even notice the difference.

My .25 is definitely harder to cock (than my Discovery) but if you feel binding or scraping then there is a fix for them. Apparently, the air tube is a stamped out part causing some metal to extrude in to the hammer travel area, making it difficult to cock the hammer, at times.

Hope this helps....
