Hi all.

This 25 caliber Marauder is so good, each shot means one dead squirrel.

The down side is the backyard where I was asked to extinguish them is now out of squirrels.

I wonder if they will come back if I lay low for a while?

give them a lttle while and new ones will slowly start coming around ,i put out squirrel feeders to keep them around .

I shoot out my yard every couple of years. They come back in a year or so quicker if you put out feeders. I try to get rid of all of them but it never works! I wish they did not come back they eat the wire mesh I block my vents up with. They get in the attic and nest. I kill them then they are gone for a year after another year they get so over populated they try getting in the house. I now kill about 7 or 8 a year to keep them under control. Seems to be working.

you need to eat them, they are very good, look up cooking wild game, you'll find that they are considered one of the taste'est of all wild game.
Then when there gone, you will miss them ,,,,and be very pleased when they are back, thinking of a controlled harvest so you can enjoy them more often.
Keeping there numbers down but not 100% gone is better than zero.

The neighborhood is infested with them, but I think I have killed the entire population living on their property for now.

I will try putting out a feeder and see how long it takes to get new residents.

I'm sure they are delicious when properly prepared, but this property owner wants them disposed of immediately so that he never has to see any dead squirrels.

He and his wife actually like the squirrels, but they are tired of the damage they do to the citrus trees and bird feeders.
