I received an e-mail from Crossman about my original barrel. They said my original barrel looked good but had issues. I didn't know what that meant so I called but l still got the same answer. So just reinstalling my original barrel probably would not have helped.

I had the same accuracy problem, sent the gun back to crossman. OMD what a difference 50yrd groups 1/2 with JSB Kings, Benjamin domed, and H&N Baracudas. Don't know what thay did but what a differance. So far 5 opossums at 50yrds, and 1 crow at 65yrds. This gun is scarry acurrate now, and the thump on critters is louder than the gun.

I also have purchessed a new Maruder .25 this week. At 30 yds can not get a group under 10 inches. I resurched as many sites as I could before purchess and all lead me to believe that this air rifle would shot reasonable out of the box. To me out of the box reasonable would be 2 inch groups at 50 yds. not the 10 inch at 30 yrds stuff I am getting. can anyone tell me how to get the manuf. to help me?

Have you read entirely through this thread? There is a lot of info here to check first...but 10-inch groups at 30yds....I am betting that either something is loose, ie, barrel setscrews, breach screws...something.....or, with those results, you've got a pellet clipping issue....pull the baffles out of the shroud and carefully inspect them to see if there are any lines on the holes, or the endcap....if you see any streaking on these surfaces, it means your pellets are clipping....

Also, what types of pellets have you tried so far? It seems that most like the Benjamin and JSB Exact Kings.....
