Just finished up my .25 bottle-rod project and wanted to share!

-Evanix 480cc carbon fiber tank
-Boyds pepper laminate stock
-bead blasted shroud tube, tank adapter, and remaining air tube, then shot them with some matte clear coat

Hopefully I will be able to post some strings over the weekend. I am going to the dive shop in town tomorrow to have my 4500psi tank filled. It has been a fun process so far building the bottle fed marauder, and I am anxious to see how the shot strings look compared to the factory air tube.

not a fan of bottles...hated them on paintball guns , though necessary.
99% of the time it's the shooter, not the gun.

well guys, I got a chance to shoot a string across the chrono this evening after work, and so far I'm impressed!!

LO-917.18
Avg-924.86
ES-22.64
avg Ft/lbs-48.2

I shot a few more times to make sure that was the end of the string. Velocity started to fall from there, so I felt that was pretty good! This is with the factory, un-modified valve and no regulator! I can already see I am going to need to stock up on pellets for this bad boy! I may tune down to the 850fps range and see what that does for the string, but for right now I am ecstatic with the velocity and spread of the string!

ran another string over the chrono this afternoon and I am in love with the bottle..... the only down side I can foresee is I am going to have to stock up on pellets! :o :o

I charged up the rifle and set the scope before I started the string, because I wanted to try and kill two birds with one stone in this hot Ga heat lol. I wanted to see how the rifle grouped across the spread of the shot string, and I didn't want to use over a hundred pellets between chrono data and shooting a group. The chrono was 18" from the muzzle and the target was laser ranged at 52yds. Group and chrono data was shot prone, with a sandbag for front support. I hope you guys like it! The gun was charged back up to 3150psi, and the ending pressure was 2200psi

Here is the group for the whole shot string. ~48 shots:

I couldn't get a clear enough picture of the entire shot string that my chrony printed out, but below is the important parts :D

statistical data:

- = low velocity
+ = high velocity
* = avg velocity
C = extreme spread
T = total shots fired

That's 48 shots above 900fps with an extreme spread of~16! I am super stoked so far. I want to see what I can do with some heavy cast/swaged pellets and a modified valve. But for now, all the pests here on the farm are in for a surprise!!!

I have a question for you guys regarding the string. There is somewhat of a bell curve occurring with the strings, it just isn't very pronounced. I am happy with both the accuracy and the velocity, but what would be the best way to go about flattening the shot string? It seems to be a little jumpy to me... I did notice, however, that the velocities were more consistent if I waited 30-45sec between shots. It almost seems like the gun is regulated, having a long fairly flat string. I'm not hearing any hammer bounce with the shots, but I don't know if the BHB o-ring mod might flatten it out a little? Or maybe I'm asking too much from the gun? Anyway, any input you guys may have would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
-Jason

You don't need a bell curve.
