I have now removed and reconfigured my baffles. Some of them are facing forward and a couple of them are facing backward. This creates different size air chambers. I also added some star washers In the middle of my baffles. I did this to try and create as much air turbulence as possible. It is more quiet than the stock baffles but, not as much as I was hoping for. I think the modified baffles are doing a good job of stripping air but then the air has nowhere to go. The next thing I am going to do is drill out the holes on the shroud support piece on the end of the barrels muzzle. The enlarged holes will allow more air to enter the rear shroud area. hopefully this will help. I just need to figure out a way to drill these holes with precision. Drilling a new hole on top of a previous hole is complicated at times as the drill bit wants to wobble and enlarge the hole bigger than I wanted. How do I remove the shroud support piece? If I can remove it then I can clamp it down on m y drill press. Is the shroud support made out of metal or plastic? It appears to be plastic. Anyone who has enlarged the holes on their MROD I would appriciate some advice on how to do it properly.....

Made of plastic ( Delrin )
Thats WHY stated to use a starter drill, it;s tapered side self centers as it opens hole to drills shank diameter.

* Removing is easy enough also .... Just place a nail / pin ... etc that fits threw holes right threw middle of it, hold on and twist it off the muzzle. Tap it back on when done

Gotcha.... I will give that a try. I got the HDD installed today. I didn't have a chance to shoot. Maybe tomorrow after work. I will find a 3/16" starter drill and let you know how it works out.

I had no problem enlargening them with a simple drill bit in a battery drill. Real easy. The existing hole makes the bit line up, and being delrin it just zips through it - then through the one on the opposite side too. I think the hole operation took me about 20 seconds . . . .

I drilled mine with my fingers it was much easer then trying to hold a drill motor of some kind and the delrin is very soft. I had better control too it was a piece of cake!

Are you guys seeing a drop in muzzle velocity with the larger holes drilled out?

Hole size in the Air Stripper has ZERO effect on velocity ;)

I actually just drilled the holes on my lunch break. Took 2 minutes with a 3/16 bit and a regular cordless drill. Zipped right through no problem. The modified air stripper combined with the modified baffles has definately made a difference. I know this is all subjective but, to my ear it is quieter. I will try to come up with a Db meter. I need to buy one anyway for speaker calibration. I will be shooting some groups this afternoon. I have a chrony and might set it up to see what velocities I'm getting. Does anyone happen to know what velocities they are getting with a stock .25 MROD shooting dome head exact kings? Also, Does anyone have a Db meter reading from a stock .25 MROD? I guess I should have done this before I started modding but, I was too eager to try it out.
