AOA is selling smooth-twist barrels now

I'd asked AOA about buying an FX smooth-twist barrel, but was told it would be too impractical. This was just last week. Now look at them!

I had been wondering about outfitting one on a P-rod, or Mrod (before I took another direction).

Now, if a group buy for these pops up, with someone else doing all of the required machining, I may be kicking myself. I hope the LW barrel performs good enough that I never want to consider another change... ...but I do like that smooth-twist design.

NeuRon, man you always seem to be ahead of the curve. ;) I hope you'll put out at least a short review. Then maybe tell us who did the work. I prolly can't afford it yet anyway. BUT! But I still have some stuff to sell!

Nope, it's just a plain-old Lothar-Walther barrel I'm waiting on. Long overdue, so I don't feel much ahead of the curve.

But it is being machined before it gets to me. I'll be happy to pass along the name, when I know it's not going to slow down the arrival of mine. :P

Jim's MIL got diagnosed with cancer. That's the reason for the delay.

Oh, man, that's bad to hear. I'm sorry for him and the family.

When I said 'long overdue', I did mean on my part. I just emailed Jim back a couple of days ago telling him to take the time he needed. He never mentioned family problems, just that he was sorry for any delay. Total professional. :)
