my .22 marauder

Postby Deer hunter. » Tue Feb 17, 2015 12:12 pm

Hi guys, first off the last few times I've noticed a funny sort of click noise coming from around the air gauge on my rifle during shooting, over Christmas I left the rifle on the same charge which was around 150 bar and I checked it the other day and it was under 100, also when im trying to pump the rifle up with a stirrup pump these not my pressure in the pump strokes and its a b*#"h to pump up, I'm guessing the seals around the gauge possibly gone? second is seems I'm from the UK where is best for me to order parts for my rifle, as I'm looking for a service seal kit and in time a few other bits, also any information on the servicing of this rifle, I do all the work on my rifles myself just wanted to see if there's any thing to keep an eye on. many thanks for any replys :)

Do the soapy water test around the gauge fittings, fill fittings, etc. My Marauder would loose pressure overnight and the soap test showed it leaking at the pressure gauge. Called Crosman and they said they would send me a new gauge. Prior to getting it, I removed the original gauge and used Teflon tape to reseal it. Perfect. I called Crosman and told them not to send it. They did anyway. It's in spare parts.

I would think there would be an authorized repair facility over there for the marauder and other Crosman rifles, just as there are repair facilities here for rifles made over there. You might give Sandwell Field Sports a call as They service and tune many brands. Check out the youtube videos by vermin hunters tv, as Si does a lot of business with them.
