Coming Soon, A New Lothar Walther Barrel

Postby AirJunkie » Sun Mar 08, 2015 5:12 pm

I have ordered a LW barrel blank for my .22 mrod. When it arrives I will have to document the machining process and the results. The freebore and lead is the next step to determine. Are there any of you that have experience with this?

Most of bought ours already machined from people like Jim Gaska. One member that I do know did his own was DR650 - you could send him a PM in case he does not see your post . . . .

I think Shootinit might also have done his own machining on one as well, but I am not sure on that one.

bury as much as you can into the breech and it will be rock solid..

99% of the time it's the shooter, not the gun.

You dont want any freebore. Pellet should be fully in the lands.

Read this post and follow the link on my machining. I went into it in detail
It was not hard but somethings can be tricky. I machined an internal O ring groove and motorhead has a way around it
Anyway follow the links
