The joys of tethering a .22 at 800psi

So I tethered one of my 68 CI, 800 psi paintball tanks to the .22 and shot extremely tight groups, for me, at 25 yards using CPDs. All the pellet holes touching with an occasional flyer ( you can see them corkscrewing at 700 fps)

All setting at the minimums
OEM Hammer spring
.25 valve spring installed

Avg FPS 706, FPE 16, SD 3.40, spread of 11 for 20 shots

Groups with H&N 5.53 Domes were even tighter

Anyway, the point is, the .22 is pretty dang accurate at the slower speeds, if I push the speed up to 900 ~ 950 ish, the groups open up.

Going to remove the .25 valve spring and put the stock one back in and see what 550 to 600 FPS does for accuracy.

PS the starting tank pressure was at 2000 psi, the ending after 100 shots was about 1500, well above the regulators output pressure...

The pellet hitting the metal trap caused more noise than the rifle, pfft, then TING...love it

The light is down and not up. Well I'll try anything for a little more accuracy. Thanks for the heads up, down, whatever.
