Howdy all,
A week into owning my .22, I'm finding that things aren't nearly as bad as I've expected. So far I've managed to shoot nickel groups at 30 yards, just by holding it up against the back porch post. I hoped to get to the range last weekend, but you know, life happens... Anyways, I am excited to get out there to really sight this sucker in at 50 and 100 yards. I love my scope, and even the Discovery 14.3 HP's are doing really good!
I think I'll just blow through this tin of 500 Discovery HP's and then move to something like a 18gr pellet. Maybe the box of Crosman 14.3's.. Who knows.
As for any mods, I've made one. I took the trigger weight adjuster screw and spring out of the gun, so that I can work with a near hair trigger. It's helped me go from 2" groups to nickel groups at 30 yards. I'm not sure if this is okay, but so far it has worked for me for the last 30 shots. Now to work on my breathing technique...
So, my verdict so far? I love it. I initially had feelings that I should have gotten the .25, but now those feelings are gone. This .22 has held a 2500 psi for the last few days, so no leaks. That was a big deal to me. So, I love my .22 MRod, I've been very pleased with it!
