Port screw stripped

Postby Walx on Tue Feb 01, 2011 1:01 pm

I know I have seen this before but couldn't find it in the search. I was using the right size allen wrench ( 5/32nd) but guess I didn't have it set in good and stripped the screw. What kind of screw could I use to replace this with and where could I get one. Thanks Will

Ace Hardware or any hardware store should have one. Take the main port screw out and compare threads to fit. You can use a longer steel set screw.

Thanks, is the end of the screw pointed or flat?

Replaced screw and now I have no adjustment with new screw. It's like the port is wide open. Guess I'll try to call crosman and see if they have a replacement.

No it didnt. I figured it wasn't going to work before I ever tried it. I went to 2 hardware stores and no one had ever seen anything that looked like that. I guess I could put the old screw back in and use the t10 bit to adjust It with until I find a replacement.
