interested in seeing pics of you guys accurate 177 marauders and what optics and stocks your using thanks

I'm still working on my 177, so I can't reply, but I'm keeping mine entirely stock parts-wise. I have a 6-24X56 scope mounted which is what I use for testing accuracy. Once I get it dialed in, I will install a 6-21X44 Simmons 44 Mag with mildot and side focus which is my favorite scope for Marauders and I've been recommending it for quite a while.

For shot count, I installed a BHB-3 and set to 12 FPE to get 100 good shots per fill. I recently bought two new stock barrels so getting good enough accuracy is in progress. I'm sure I'll get there eventually.

Trigger work is really important if you want high accuracy. After you remove the lawyer spring, you need to adjust it to your liking. I like a longer first stage with a very short second stage that "breaks like glass." Wasatch wrote a great thread on how to get the most out of your Marauder trigger. The stock trigger is very good, but it needs a little adjustment to be great.

I do have a few Boyd's Blaster stocks which I plan to inlet and install when I get the accuracy down.

The rifle is regulated by Altaros to about 16J, my best groups are about 0.4" at 55 yards before installing a regulator, with reg. I wasn't shooting over 40 yards but there are one hole at that distance.

55 yards target, 5 shots with H&N FTT from seated position from one bag on front and shoulder on the back.


EDIT: I forget to say, it's equiped with BSA 8-32x44 SWF MD scope, stock are original Benjamin.

Besides the regulator, did you do anything to it? Is it a stock barrel? Was it "prepped"?

Ok here is mine,
55 yards today group was .801 just over a dime and is 8 shots. 4 in the same hole the other 4 where a bit to the left and spread out some. No wind or a light breeze once and awhile. but very light. This is my FT rifle pictured below. Stock barrel I have polished the lead in a bunch so the pellet smoothly slides in. Single shot tray. JSB exacts 10.3 @ 860fps. I have NOT put the regulator in yet. Once it arrives from Vince I will install it along with the LW hammer. The scope is a Hawke Eclipse 30 6-24X50 I think this will improve as I get the barrel seasoned. It has less than 30 shots through it at this point.

As I said this is before the regulator (I have to buy it because of the verticaly movement on some groups) , this group was with Bstaley mod with 3x #211 o ring, highly polished hammer, highly polished trigger mechanism and removed lawyer spring (1st stage at about 40 grams, 2nd cracks on >80 grams), some bolts also polished, valve, barrel and others stock, barrel is free floating, didn't do any mods on shroud or baffles until last night (unfloated the shroud with some tape), but I didn't try how it shots now, I can't wait for the weekend to see the results...

EDIT: Yesterday I was shooting all day long, from 35-100 yards (only 3 groups on 100), best was 20mm (but only 3 shots because of wind), second 27mm and third was the best vertically but the wind spread it horizontally to about 65mm...

This is your results I was impressed with: one hole groups at 40 yards with the regulator? Or am I not reading you correctly?

This is at 37m or 40.5 y from bags front and back (100y shooting was from some poor rest in front and shoulder in back ) , again it's 3 shot group but my friend and I competed which one will pay the coffe tommorow and I was better for maybe 1/16", target are standard 45,5mm or ~1.8" target ...

We are shooting H&N FTT 4.51 @ 12.6fpe as usual.

I usually shoot groups of whole or half magazines. Anyone can get lucky for 3 shots

How do your 5 or 10 shot groups look at 40 yards with the regulated 177?
