CHP size

Postby bob7346 on Mon Sep 27, 2010 5:52 am

I bought a box of CHP 10.5 gr.177 just to try. I've been using JSB exact heavies with really good results in my Mrod.

After I got them in I decided to try them in my other .177 guns first, a Big Cat and a NPSS. When I went to load them they seemed much harder to load and a tighter fit, and quite a bit bigger diameter than the JSBs.

Is this normal? Also has anyone noticed a better grouping with the CHPs vs. the JSBs, and has anyone chronied both in the same gun?

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Hi Bob:

The last brick of CPH's that I got were all oversized, and would not shoot worth a @!%$#@. However, since I still have my Beeman sizing die set I used that and it, seems to have fixed the problem, not that I like or ever thought that I would have to actually size my pellets. If you stick with the JSB's you should not have that problem, but the JSB's aren't Premiers..........

The problem is that they atre so big theat their heads are 18 caliber.........
