Vector Optics Capricorn 4.5-14X 44

I found a deal on one of these scopes http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LWRI7F0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and couldn't pass it up. A FFP scope is something I've wanted for my wooden stocked SynRod for a while. I've had a decent amount of luck with my Leapers 4-16x44 so I'm not too afraid to take a chance on an inexpensive China made optic.
Does anyone have any experience with a Vector product?

It almost looks like my primary arms ffp scope I had on my synrod. It was an awesome scope but I dropped my gun once and it didn't hold its zero. I switched it out to my swfa 10x42 scope I have. Don't get me wrong though the primary arms scope was awesome.

Outside of the knobs, ALSO very similar to the BSA tactical 4x14-44 FFP which also sells for @ $250
Personally have 2 of those and very satisfied with glass quality / funtion being Chinese glass too :D

Unfortunately, it turned out to be less than a bargain once it got here. The crosshairs were crooked, and the variable power wheel wouldn't go below 6.5x.
It's back in the box with a return shipping label on it already.
For what it's worth, the optics were clear and it was okay otherwise. I think I got one that failed QC something fierce though.

I looked at the add on amazon for it. At 4.5x the center of the cross-hair looked to be in the center of your view. At 14x the center of the cross-hair appeared to be a third higher then the center of your view? Is that suppose to be like that? I've been wanting a FFP for a while now. Used a SWFA HD on a 10/22 and it was beautiful, also $1400. Thats a bit out of the budget for an airgun scope. Sorry to hear you got a bum scope. I had 2 Leapers that failed under 500 rounds. Good Luck.

I think it just looks higher because the bottom part of the cross hairs are longer then the other 3 sides. Mines was centered.
