Baffle Dimensions Please?

Postby andy3360 » Tue Aug 06, 2013 4:01 am

Hi, I am trying to make up some different designs to run through a 3D printer, i don't have any baffles on me and i was wondering if someone could please give me a measurement of:
Total length on 1 baffle,
Width/diameter of the overall baffle,
diameter of the opening for the pellet.

If you could help that would be great, then i can upload my .stl file for any of you to use.

Thanks!

For my new 22, here are the measurements

Length 1.35"
Diameter 1.77"
Hole .279"

That hole is way too large IMH. It is big enough for the 25 M-rod. Maybe they are using the same baffles in all three rifles now.

I'd love to test out some of your samples in my 22 or 25 or P-rod.

Yes, I screwed up that OD measurement. It is .77 not 1.77.

An update for anyone interested, the print turned out well, i just printed in 300 micron to save money.

the support material is under the cone shaped pieces, which does reduce the volume of air in that baffle section, but it's my first print so i can work on it.

I glued them together with just acetone, as its a ABS print, and i had to sand down the outside a little bit to make it fit nicely, then wiped it down with a acetone soaked cloth.

I cant really compare the noise difference, as i need a DB reader, but it seems to work nicely! i will try get a db reading

FWIW: On the baffles I just received from crosman, there is a protruding "airstripper" on the inside. It is not just a cylinder/cup with a hole in the center.

Wow! That is new. I didn't get those on my new before Summer 22 from PyramydAir.

Did they come in a gun? Or did you buy baffles directly from crosman?
