I just ordered a Marauder pistol and centerpoint 2x scope. What is the minimum height the scope rings need to be to clear the magazine? Specifically, the distance from the dovetail mounting surface to the bottom of the scope.

I can order a ring that puts the bottom of the scope tube at .5" or .83" above the reciever. I would prefer the lower profile if it will fit. I appreciate your advice.

My Marauder pistol came with the center point dot scope and rings as a kit. The ring height from the bottom of the dovetail to the bottom of the scope measures .600 . There is very little clarance between the scope and magazine. It looks like the max. ring height should be no more than about .620 .

9/16" is to the top of the mag from the top of the breech. The high point is off center though, ie right side of breech. Height on center of the breech is around 3/8". And obviously, you are dealing with a radius.

I have never had a clearance issue with the mag with any medium height dovetail scope ring. I have never tried or used low profile ones though. I assume you are using a smaller tube pistol scope, so the mag will probably fit. No guarantee, but if that is your preference, I say try it.

medium rings should do the trick. they'll be close, but should clear.
