P-rod back in action!

Postby Family Man 811 » Sat Aug 10, 2013 10:03 pm

I am truly proud of my Lil P.. Went back to the TKO Stage V LDC after a failed LW barrel and baffeled shroud attempt. So Factory Barrel, tuned my self with 3 ring Bstaley mod Entire air path has been opened to max..i think 11/64.. But it was long ago..anyway went with a .125 port, .41 thick hammer spring, gaska tipman adapter, Hogue rubber grip, trigger shoe, a forearm scre by gaska is swivle syid for bi-pod mount, BKL rings w a Leapers 4-16x44mm S.W.A.T. Accushot scope topped with a UTG Red lased and forearm pressure switch.. Shoots 21gr cudas and kodiak copper real well as well as Crosman Priemier Domes 14.3gr and H&N FTT 14.66 gr which I am currently using. Grouping real well verry happy

I spent a little time sighting in on this target the group shift to the right of the bull was actually the first few shots pre sight in. then the group left of bull dime size for 8 shots and fine tuning the scope.. the group far right was 10 shots post sighting :) then i tried to shoot the numbers first the outter 7 was a dead hit then i hit the number 9 ... after that if you look closly on top i shot the thumb tack off leaving only the spike..followed bye two misses attempting to shoot the same holes on 9 and 7 but pressure was down to about 1200 and i usuallt refill at about 1400psi so I am extremely happy for 30yd grouping! :D

Sounds more like a BigP? What velocities are you getting? A .118 tp and 1/8" spring spacer gets me 21-22fpe across 2 clips.

Good to see you back!

What did you do to de-ping it?

Nice, after opening up the valve what kind of shot count do you get @ 15.5 fpe?

Ray- I guess i use the term dead quiet a little loosely..I have not de-pinged my Mrod or Prod at all yet..been considering it tho. Does it take many shots away? As for shot count I am seeing 24 shots within a 15fps spread and about 30-32 shots within 25fps.

I have not noticed any significant change in good shots when I add or remove a depinger. If you don't like it, they are easy to remove. The vinyl one helped for my rifles, but did not work for my pistol. The solid one with two small holes works great and it does not cost much - about $6 or you can make your own.
