If you're removing the barrel, might as well pull the breech o-ring and really clean it.

Then you can install a fresh breech o-ring and reinstall the barrel. Very easy job IMO and how I clean the barrels of my M-rods.

I purchased an incredible solid carbon Tipton cleaning rod, solvent and cleaning patches. I just slide it through the barrel and out the breech. I hook a few treated pad on the rod and pull them through. I clean the barrel, stripper, all baffles and out the end. I usually run it twice with cleaning solvent and once with a dry pad and it comes out clean. I always remove breech o-rings and clean and lube or just replace with a new one.

Is a 26" Tipton rod 26" of rod length or 26" from tip to end of handle?
