Sacramento ( IONE ) 9-14-14 Field target Shoot results

Postby Motorhead » Tue Sep 16, 2014 11:32 am

Another great turnout & successful FT shoot for our September match.
15 eager souls made the trek out into the IONE badlands for this months challenge of Killin-the-steel

Weather started out in the upper 60's as we set up the course and by @ 12:30 as we were finishing up @ 90*f or so.
Light winds blessed us making the course a tad easier then we would have liked it ... But still JUST difficult enough to keep it from being cleaned by any competitors.

Course was set at 50 shots using 45 knock down target mixed in with @ 5 Bell targets. Ranges 10 to @ 49 yards keeping it a tad easier for our newer shooters learning the game.

Anyways ... after @ 45 min of sight in practice we started the match at 9:30.
Results of the match below :D

We had a great time Scott. Matt was out of his comfort zone, with us split up, but I think it was really good for him. Thanks for hosting. :D

Colin,
As the young lad gets more comfortable with his routine, we can pair you up as Father / Son periodically. My thoughts were to have him being out of his comfort zone so it may have helped in his focus on what to do.

If Matt truly feels uncomfortable & needs to be with you, just let the Match director know next match you wish too squad with him ;)

Nah, he's good, and I think he learned quite a bit by being away from me. He's a shy kid, but was happy afterward.

Of course, the food (that awesome homemade salsa!) is just as big an attraction as the shooting, to him.
