disco tuning help

Postby mann » Fri Feb 20, 2015 12:47 am

I am new to the forum I have a disco with a bnm receiver and shroud it is a 22. I had trouble with the pellets clipping the baffles in the shroud and it being inaccurate I took the baffles out. enlarged the hole in the end of the shroud reinstalled the my tko muzzle brake and slid the shroud back on that took care of accuracy issue. I got hooked after getting the disco and got my self a big bore recluse which I power tuned to 180 ftlbs . I got a 25 mrod about 3 weeks ago also. any way I got mrod tuned well and I want to tune my disco for a better shot string when I ran it over the chrony the other day it starts at about 930 ish and decreases with every shot for about 18 shots is what I have been shooting with it I would like 20 shots with about 25 ftlbs and a good shot curve any help would be great

You may want to check out posts by a retired Canadian named Bob Sterne. He is a wealth of experience with tuning Discos and other inexpensive PCPs to get better performance.

He posts lots of good info in GTA http://www.gatewaytoairguns.org/GTA/ind ... board=12.0

So you took the TKO apart, was it pretty straight forward?

no I had a bnm shroud that I removed the baffles put a tko muzzle brake that I had lying around back on and slid my bnm shroud back over the top to keep the look of less space between the barrel and air tube

Is the TKO quieter than the BNM shroud and baffles?
