Better Barrel on .22 Mrod Please

Postby jslnsd » Fri Apr 15, 2011 8:44 am

It seems as though if Crosman used barrels with a smaller bore size and consistency, then they would really have a winner on their hands, regarding the Marauder in general. From my experience and from what I've read on this forum and other reviews, it is apparent that the .22 cal mrod seems to do best with pellets with a head size of 5.52/5.53mm.

The mrod seems to shoot consistent FPS with most pellets which is wonderful, but I believe that most users would be even more thrilled if their .22 mrod shot most pellets accurately as well.

Come on Crosman... Please put better barrels on the .22 cal mrods, or at least offer it as an option/upgrade part.

If anyone here is reading this and has more to add, please do so!

I'm just converting to .25 cal. Based on what I have heard they have the best barrels out of the 3 choices. It's only about $235 for the twelve .25 cal specific parts. It's a better upgrade than putting in a LW barrel in my opinion because there are many disappointed LW barrel upgrade owners on this forum.

Did you luck out and get one of the good stock barrels? Or did you have to modify it? Or do you just have low expectations for accuracy? ;)
