What type of metal is the Air Tank made of? Just curious because most Air compressors hold alot of moisture and the inside of the tanks eventually rust, Would this be an issue for the Marauder?

If so is there a way to prevent this besides using a SCBA tank that has dry air?

You may be thinking of a typical mechanic's shop compressor? If so, those are usually only around ~150psi.

You must goto a dive or paintball shop to get your air fills, which will be dry air, no moisture.

When I first got into PCP air guns I called Tim at Mac1, and he told me not to use a pump. This is part of his PCP charging 101 post.

I do not recommend the pump as a primary air source. The combination of
dry tank air and moist pump air is tolerable but strong evidence points
to a problem when the pump is the only air source. Compound that by
using large volume lines which require significantly more strokes and
you're creating a bigger problem yet.

Further exacerbating the problem is living in a relatively humid region
and being a fairly heavy user. It would be prudent to regularly clean
out the water traps of pumps and also pumps which are not fitted with
desiccant balls. Both will accumulate a sludge which you do not want
inside your prized airgun.

That's sort of disappointing to hear. I wonder if crosman thinks the same way? I was going to use a benjamin pump to primarily fill my marauder.

You could get a used scuba tank for ~100, adapter for ~80 (if you have a typical k valve), and a fill for ~4. Good option if you have a dive/paintball shop fairly close to you...

I stoped by a paintball store today. They didnt have a clue what I was talking about when I told them about the marauder. I had them pull up pyramid airs website. They said they only had nitrogen, Is this ok to use?

nitrogen is probably the best source for PCP guns. Is has essentailly no moisture. the problem with hand pumps is two fold. First, if you live in a very humid area, you will have some moisture in the gun. Second, the dessicant packs must be properly maintained or they are useless.

The air tube is way too thin to be anything other than steel. At 3K psi, the aluminum would have to be 1/4 to 3/8" thick.
