How to interpret the serial number?

Postby Artilheiro on Thu Apr 22, 2010 7:24 am

What does this serial number "09120220 D" of my Mrod? Would anyone know how to say the date it was manufactured and what's your number?

I would say your rifle was manufactured December 2009, and it's the 220th rifle made that month. My rifle was made the same month but the serial number reads D09120***. I'm not sure if Crosman changed the serial number configuration for some reason and why they might have done it. Anyway, that's my guess.

That's exactly how it works. "D" for December of 2009, the 12 is some internal code number and then the unit produced for the month. I'm with you guys, number 110 of December 09 :D .

HI guys the correct serial number is.

"D 09120220"

As I understand it, was manufactured in the month of December 2009 and December months he was number 220 to be produced. Is that so?

Well perhaps Crosman has gone to a new coding system, I would say it is number 481 for the month of April this year. The number 12 is a internal check number. Cheers. Steve
